AWS Braket pricing in 2026: the per-shot model, device by device
AWS Braket bills on a single model across every device: a flat $0.30 per-task fee plus a per-shot rate that varies by hardware, from $0.000425/shot on Rigetti Cepheus to $0.08/shot on IonQ Forte, a span of more than 180x. There is no subscription and no minimum beyond the task fee (and a 2,500-shot floor when IonQ error mitigation is on). The roster expanded through 2025 to include IQM's 54-qubit Emerald ($0.00160/shot) and AQT's IBEX-Q1, the first EU-hosted trapped-ion machine on Braket ($0.02350/shot). This page lists every Braket device's verified per-shot rate and the resulting cost for representative jobs.
1.How AWS Braket bills
Braket cost = $0.30 task fee + (per-shot rate x shots). The per-shot rate is flat: gate count and circuit depth do not change the bill, only the device and the shot count do. Reserved (dedicated) capacity is billed hourly instead ($2,500-$7,000/hr depending on device). A 10,000-shot circuit therefore costs about $4.55 on Rigetti Cepheus but about $800 on IonQ Forte; the device choice, not the circuit, dominates the bill.

3.What a real AWS Braket job costs
Unit rates are hard to feel. These are the costs of representative jobs, each either a published rate or our arithmetic over the published rate (the basis column shows the sum, so you can redo it).

4.Frequently asked questions
How much does AWS Braket cost?
AWS Braket charges a flat $0.30 per task plus a per-shot rate that depends on the device: $0.000425/shot on Rigetti Cepheus-108Q, $0.00145 on IQM Garnet, $0.00160 on IQM Emerald (54Q), $0.01 on QuEra Aquila, $0.02350 on AQT IBEX-Q1, and $0.08 on IonQ Forte. A 10,000-shot circuit ranges from about $4.55 (Rigetti) to about $800 (IonQ Forte). Dedicated reserved capacity is billed hourly at $2,500-$7,000/hr instead.
Is there a minimum charge on AWS Braket?
Beyond the $0.30 task fee there is no account minimum or subscription. The one floor to watch: IonQ devices enforce a minimum of 2,500 shots per task when error mitigation is enabled, so a small IonQ Forte task still costs at least about $200 in shots plus the task fee.
What is the cheapest AWS Braket device?
Rigetti Cepheus-108Q at $0.000425/shot is the cheapest per-shot Braket device, roughly 180x cheaper per shot than IonQ Forte. The trade-off is fidelity: Rigetti runs at about 99.1% two-qubit gate fidelity versus IonQ's ~99.6%, so deep circuits may need more shots to get usable results. IQM's superconducting devices sit just above Rigetti at $0.00145 (Garnet) and $0.00160 (Emerald).
